A Visit From Alaska!!!
My cousin Kristine and all four of her children (ages 2-10) came for a month long visit from mid Oct. to mid Nov. One of the main reasons we did the visit was due to the fact that cancer brings out the fact that life is short!!! Our children had not seen each other in three years, and they had a few weeks to build memories that hopefully they will have for a lifetime! She was able to also spend some time up north with her brother, and friends (she grew up in Northern MI). It was difficult at times to have a houseful of people during the phase where I was not sure if I had cancer or not. It was a stressful and trying time, I was not sleeping well and it was hard. I was officially diganosed 2 days before the Dohse Crew officially went North for the winter! Kristine bought me a dozen roses and a card and a bag of hershey pink breast cancer kisses the day I was suppossed to find out if I had cancer or not. I think it took three more weeks for the official diganosis to come through (I switched hospitals due to 1st hospital unable to diganois me). It was great to have them down, hopefully it won't be three more years before we see one another again, and hopefully I will be cancer free!!!!
